Above is a photo of the Grand Palace Halls (Chakri Maha Prasat), where the Kings of Thailand resided.  Wat Phra Kaew, known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, stands behind a 1900 metre long crenellated wall within the Grand Palace complex.
